Is your DAW 64-bit or 32-bit?

DAW is in 64 bit and the dll is in D:\ (Whyever?)

...and thank god - once I moved it to the d\jamstix3 folder the problem was solved - so happy, thank you! You guys are a bless, thank you so much for helping out Smile

I have to say I've been trying out several programs but jamstix is simply the easiest and best sounding one there is. Would have been a huge step back to search for a new one!

Hi, I tried the demo for jamstix and it worked fine so I bought the biggest version.
Now when I am putting together song structure or doing anything really, Jamstix keeps hiding itself and I have to click on the plugin to open again.
Whenever I change settings on another plugin, jamstix cant handle it.
I use an imac i5, 8gb ram and run it off ssd.
i have no problems running bfd3 or komplete ultimate 9 with multiple instances.
I cant get jamstix to handle running through bfd3 as it crashes or freezes reaper (v5)
any help would be appreciated

Do you have the Jamstix GUI pinned in REAPER (Always On Top)? If so, please disable that and see if the GUI stops disappearing. If not, please email me ~/Music/Jamstix3/rzdlog.txt

It worked out it was the opposite. Pinning it helped. Now to fix the buffer not being able to handle changes made on any effect when running jamstix? Is jamstix 4 meant to be more stable on the cpu?

I have tried buffer settings up to 1024 and it doesn't seem to affect the issue in any way. It is like Jamstix makes the song cut out every now and then and then go fuzzy as if struggling. I use an UAD apollo twin as my interface.

Try unchecking 'Load-On-Demand' in the JS Options.

I am having trouble getting Jamstix 3 to work in Reaper. I had it working OK on my laptop, but then the hard drive crashed and I had to get a new machine. Laptop was Windows 7, new PC is Windows 10.

Using a Scarlett 2i2 as the audio interface. Same as on laptop.

Reaper v.5.33 x64

Able to install everything OK and Reaper works with other stuff besides Jamstix. I am able to get Reaper to see Jamstix and I can insert a new virtual instrument onto a track and get the 8 different tracks that get set up when you select Jamstix. Everything appears to be working the way I remember it. I see Jamstix composing the hits, etc. But there is no sound coming from Jamstix. I wonder if there is some setting I'm missing.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

D'oh! Thank you! That was it. I was doing this all from memory and I left out that step. Pays to read the manual. Working now.

I appreciate the response.

PostPosted: Fri Apr 07, 2017 5:06 pm    Post subject: Jumping back 32 Bars? Reply with quote

So I've got an issue where there is a tempo and time change at bar 75 in my song. I've allowed time changes in the options menu, I've created a new part on bar 75 where the temp and time change is, yet for some reason whenever I play that bit Jamstix jumps back to bar 43. Reaper stays on bar 75 and plays normally, but Jamstix is playing the same part from bar 43, but at the new tempo set at bar 75.

Anyone experienced anything like this or know of a work around?

I'm using the 64bit version of Reaper on Windows if that helps.

Thanks,
