Just want to point out the Appendice A (page 63) of the manual : http://www.rayzoon2.com/docs/jamstix3_manual.pdf

Where it is described how pre-chorus (and any other parts from Wizard) is created.

Yes, thanks! That is what I was referring to in my last post, though I typed "Appendix C" by mistake.

The two times I used the pre-labeled parts via the Wizard, as in Appendix A, they were like friggin' magic to my song (I guess that's why it's called the Wizard Smile !). It changed things up so completely between parts, though somehow magically staying true to some underlying ethos of the song.

Then when I read the recipes of how each part was made in Appendix A, my first, second, and third thoughts were - "Really? These algorithms are what made those songs so special??".

I couldn't get my head around that, so I put the whole Appendix A concept on the back burner. I think the answer is going to be, "Yes, that's all it took, and if you reproduce the recipes, you can do this at home yourself".

The whole point of this thread (I'm the OP) is to take the parts to a song I created without using the Wizard, and retrospectively apply the Appendix A magic to those already-created parts.

Thanks -

I'm just hoping as a feature request that those "recipies" /ready-made variations would all be available by right clicking !

Maybe we should make it a different message in this board?

I'm pretty sure that Ralph said that there would be improvements in JS4 regarding this.

Just fell across this looking for something else, as you do... Is this what your looking for, Alexis?

On the Song tab (Groove page) just below where you select style and drummer there are two grey buttons labelled Style and Player. Click Player and you will see some options labelled [B]ridge, [C]horus, [M]iddle 8 and [X] BreakD, just as in the Wizard. Not a full set but...

Cheers,
C

Will check it out, Crotchety. I thought I'd tried every combo of click/right click possible, but who knows ... thanks!
