|
|
Hi - I've noticed the brain does a lot of patterns that might sound nice at 70-80 bpm but are too frenetic at faster tempos. What are some ways to have it not keep trying to do the same thing at 120 bpm?
Thx! _________________ Alexis

| This is just one suggestion that sometimes work on certain situations. There is this brain thing (sorry don't have access to Jamstix at the moment) where you can adjust the volume of hihat for the first and backbeat seperately. Try put either of them to very quiet or completely off. It calms things and can make nice dynamic change for different parts of songs. |

| Have you tried recomposing the whole part at the new tempo? |

Also, try using a drummer model like 'Charlie' or add Charlie's 'Simplifier' element to whatever drummer you're using. There is also a simplifier in the fill options. Finally, some drummers have a 'Restrained' preset, which can also help calm things down. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I think many people are unaware of this, myself included, that having a drummer generating a song at 80 bpm initially and then going at 120 without changing anything will have such effect (too busy or unnatural). |
