| What will the upgrade to JS 4 price be for those who've had JS 3 for a long time? Already know I'll upgrade .. just curious. |

Ditto
(hope it's at least "Christmas pricing" level [had I known 8/14 I'd have waited 8 months - LOL])
But looking forward to it anyway |

Loving the idea of song power per part Ralph, only just worked out how to do this in Reaper via automation.
I saw somebody mentioning new drummer styles.
Can you tell us what these will be?
Will it be expensive to upgrade to Jamstix 4 and will it run on my Windows 7 4 gigs of ram, 32 bits machine?
Can't afford a new computer yet. |

Final model selection has not been finalized, yet.

CPU/RAM loads are not much different than JS3. The only sticking point may be your graphics card but we've tested successfully with some pretty old GFX cards. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Who qualifies for the free upgrade to JS4??? |
All who purchased Jamstix 3 after 8/1/2014. Your purchase was made 11/29/2011. |
Does the free upgrade apply to the currently discounted offers for JS3? |

So, am I right in thinking...
If you own JS3, the upgrade is discounted - think I read same price as the current JS3 offer?
...and if you bought JS3 in the last couple of years, it's a free upgrade?
Any release date on JS4?
Cheers |

Yes, for users that don't qualify for the free upgrade, there will be a limited time discounted upgrade price.
JS4 is moving through private Beta at this time. After that, it will go public Beta for all (free upgrade) qualified users. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

When js4 is released, will we still be able to use js3.x if desired (similar to how we can use any previous version of Cubase)? _________________ Alexis

Yes, you can run both. You can also transfer arrangements from JS3 to JS4 via Load/Save Song. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

They use the same sounds and JS4 can be set to use the JS3 sound folder so that no disk space is wasted.
On a side note, even though the sounds are the same, the kits sound almost completely different since JS4 uses extensive processing via the new mixer to provide a more 'mix-ready' sound experience. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
