Hi There,

What is the simplest way to do a realistic sounding drum snare triplet in demo mode? (just trying it out just now)

I chose a rock drummer and set the song structure to chorus only just to try and create it. Unfortunately I could only select the snare with the left hand and not the right when trying to program it, and it sounds a bit machine like.

Use the "Center" sound for Left hand and the "Offset" sound for the right hand.

First, how do I get it to select a snare with the right hand?

Thank you very much for taking the time to do that. What software did you use to record it?

I think my inability to get the right hand snare is just a limitation of the trial version because double clicking the RH box only gives me a high hat strike, and double clicking it again just makes it disappear......

Thanks again.

Try creating the hit then right click and select change sound.

Great thanks. Now looking back at the earlier response in which a_zimuth said to use centre for the left and offset for the right; is that what he/she is doing in the gif which followed by simply selecting the snare offset sound in the right click menu? (or is there another parameter to do this?)

Ta!

Yes.

If u notice in the gif, he moved his cursor over RH (on the left side) to indicate to use the offset for the Right Hand. no other way to do it that i know of.

Perfect. I found the 'timing vary' meter was crucial for humanizing the sound.

Cheers all!

Hi Narayan_ I use a free program called Licecap by Cockos (makers of reaper) for that. http://www.cockos.com/licecap/ Thanks everyone for helping to clarify.

That's cool. Reaper is what I use. Frankel is great. Still using Winamp to this day too. Smile

Thanks Smile
