I want to use JS3 in LiveLoop mode, almost exclusively. But I really do not have time to create and then tweak out J2d files.

So I am aksing if any really experienced users would be willing to either write (or share) j2d files? I am looking for basic pop; jazz (swing straight be-bop, waltz, latin) ; funk; R+B; latin; rock and country - in 4/4 3/4 and 6/8...a 5/4 woudl be nice??

I am happy to pay a reasonable fee for these, but nothing exorbitant

I know I can create songs easily using the wizard etc, but it's the tweaking out of the drums that kills my head and what I do not have time for. Especially the editing of all the various individual instruments in the kit, as most of the styles included are way too cymbal heavy for my needs, not too mention too busy and loud. And they are "fixed" songs.

I would just like songs that have 4-8 bar loops of say verse chorus bridge fill and ending patterns, that can be triggered in Live Mode.

I play left hand basslines and right hand keys so Live Mode is what I am after so I can simply (using Cantabile) call up a style and then play a song without having to be limited to a fixed length/arrangement setup.

Have you thought of looking at the MIDI files that EZDrummer 2 has? Many different styles. Probably other companies with the same thing ...

Yeah I have a lot of the Groove Monkey drum patterns, but it's the hooking them together getting the number of bars correct that does me a bit. But the big thing is the setting of all the controls in JS3. All the styles seem to have WAY to many cymbal and hat hits and are mostly way too loud. Programming drums has never been something I could do or have had a lot of patience for.

Turning down the power knob in js3 should help reduce the cymbals and hihats. At the lower end the drummer will play softer and less busy usually. At the lowest settings it uses sidestick hits instead of a snare hits.

I like to automate the heck out of that knob throughout a piece.

The dynamics knob works like a compressor and keeps the volume level consistent regardless of the playing nuances. The more clockwise it is , the less difference between the loudest and quietest sound.
