Hi all,

I'm having a massively frustrating experience and I'm hoping that you'll be able to help...

Just purchased SSD4. I have drum maps set up so that the open hat is on key E5 as presented in Jamstix.

I've programmed a very simple beat in Cubase making use of closed and open hats, using different midi notes to trigger closed and open variations.

I have then exported the midi file into Jamstix. The open hats appear as closed in the song editor in Jamstix. If I export the midi back out of Jamstix there is no note at all where the open hats are meant to appear.

If I hit E5 on my keyboard, the note flows through Jamstix and into SSD4 and plays the open hat correctly.

I've also noticed that the Midi export from Jamstix has a continuous CC4 message at 127 throughout - which I'm guessing is the cause of the problem.

I've tried using another midi track to transmit a continuous CC4 message of 0 and including this in the midi file I import into Jamstix, but this doesn't work.

Does anyone have any idea how to deal with this? It is quite literally driving me nuts....

I don't use SSD but the first thing I would try is "Reverse Hi-Hat Controller" under options to correct the open vs. closed hat. See if that helps.
