I think a simple "standard" fill option would be a welcome addition.

I actually just thought of a feature that might be useful: A tiny u-turn arrow someone on the GUI which means "undo the last action." Sort of like a ctrl-Z in Windows, which I presume is a cmd-Z on a Mac. Since a normal ctrl-Z reverts to an undo in the host (like perhaps uncreates the entire track that you added jamstix to), having an equivalent within JS would be quite useful at times.

Example: I'm looking at different drum kits, hitting the rolling dice. I see a kit that I like, but accidentally hit the dice again. It would be nice to go up to the u-turn arrow and revert to the random kit that I had just been looking at a moment ago. And of course, the same ctrl-Z mentality would be useful in hundreds of instances throughout the instrument.

Of course, the programming for that would be far more complex than it sounds on the surface.

Groove map with colour coding and scalable vector graphics both caught my attention and the convenience of linkable parts will help me a lot. Looking forward to this release very much.

Does anybody know when the release will be? Just wondering is it weeks or months away?

Are you aware that if you hover over an "X",d out hit, it will display the reason it was not hit at the bottom?

Its gotta be safe to assume we are talking months, not weeks here. Doesn't look like beta testing has even rolled out.

Haaaang on Slooky, Slooky hang on.

Sorry, couldn't resist Laughing

Plus it's snowing here in NC and didn't have anything else to do. I"m certain it will have been worth the wait when JS4 is released.

I do because version 4 comes along with it.

As Ralph himself explained..it serves no particular purpose, I just think it's a pity he felt he needed to spend time making it prettier..by adding 3D drum kit..
I hope it's optional

Personally, i dont care if the kit is 3D either but I get it... Many people are attracted to pretty things. Even those of us who claim to be utilitarian sometimes get caught staring at shiny things.
I wouldn't say its a pity, it is just business and product marketing.
If it helps attract more users and allows the continued growth of Jamstix then it is all good.
