I haven't seen that occur myself but did you try running the installer with administrative rights? That looks like some sort of an access violation to me. What OS are you running?

Also in the error window it did say C:\jamstix3\bin\64\jamstix.exe
so I'm assuming it's trying to delete jamstix.exe but it can't.
I did try to run as Administrator.
I'm running windows 7

Try setting access to your C:\Jamstix3 folder to Everyone. Right click C;\Jamstix3>Properties>Security Tab>Edit Button>Add Button>Type Everyone and click "Check Names". Click OK and then try the installation again.

Ok, well that worked kinda.
I had to reboot the computer then it installed BUT
now it won't open in my host which is Reaper.
When I click on it in the fx window it says 'not responding'.

Try clear cache/rescan your VST folder in Reaper.

Nope, that's not working.
It started to scan and when it got to Jamstix3.dll it just sat there
and sat there etc. Reaper 'not responding'

I'm wondering, when Jamstix installs does it put a new modification
date with the dll file? What I mean is the Jamstix365_beta1.exe file
has a date modified of 15/11/2015 which was 2 days ago when I
installed it but the dll file in Reaper has a date of 14/06/2014.

I would do a complete uninstall/reinstall of Jamstix then at this point myself. You might want to send an email directly to Jamstix support first though to see if Ralph has any suggestions. The date you show (06/14/2014) is the same as the .dll on my computer.

Ok, your help has been much appreciated.
I will take your advice and contact Ralph before
I do anything else.
I'll let you know on this post what we come up with.
Thanks again.
