I heard it thru the grapevine Smile

Actually the rabid fanbase at the Reaper forum, where I have been a regular for the last 3 years.

I was doing some research about alternatives to Groove Agent and Special Agent after the update to version four. I spent a couple days online, and I think what might have actually caught my attention was a forum post somewhere from Rayzoon himself, talking about the capabilities of Jamstix. So I started to look at it in a lot more depth, and really liked what I saw.

Hopefully a lot of people eventually hear about it from my YouTube channel!

I've discovered Jamstix thanks to the Gearslutz forum.

If I remember well it was this thread:

Numerous google searches - possibly gearslutz. All the great reviews along with dj-bolivia youtube vids made the purchase easy. After spending a couple of hours with it I came back to purchase Jamcussion and AIPak. Using it with cubase 8.5 on windows 10. Have only had it a few weeks and I am extremely pleased. This is fantastic software Ralph ... thank you!

Discussion on the Cubase forum - sounded intriguing, just bought it, looking forward to giving it as go.

Steve.

I don't remember anymore, maybe it was some article on sound-on-sound or something. But since 2013 I've been using it all the time and still find new things on it. What a genious software indeed and most of the things I hoped will be in Jamstix4. Making drums was not my favorite thing, but since Jamstix it became more fun, because I can concentrate on big lines like BD and snare and Jamstix makes the drums alive and makes the fills.

I heard about Jamstix about four years ago on the recording forum at metalguitarist.org. I was intrigued about the idea, since I HATE programming drums. I purchased it and have never looked. I'd go so far as to say it revolutionized my music-making. What an amazing tool.

Thread on Cubase forum. I'd heard of it but it sounded gimmicky so had slipped off the radar till I read someone enthusing about it and telling me to at least give it a go. Very glad I did. Even gladder I waited for the sale, which meant it was a no-brainer to buy the Studio package. Cool

Thread on the Reaper forum. All the posts were so positive that I had to check it out. Downloaded the demo and placed my order after only 1/2 hr- 45min of playtime. It was exactly what I'd been looking for in a drum machine.

Seriously looking forward to this weekend when I'll have significant time to sit down with it.

Well done, guys!

Thread on reddit WeAreTheMusicMakers

I was able to purchase Superior Drummer last month from Sweetwater inexpensively. I play bass and was looking to setup grooves to practice with. Years ago I was frustrated with the fact that many drummers in bands I was in had issues Very Happy . I decided to take drum lessons so I bought some used Dauz pads and an Alesis D4. That was a big help in demystifying drumming and very helpful whenever dealing with wayward drummers afterwards. Every bass player should learn to play the drums. I donated the pads and D4 to a friend's kid who was learning to play because I had played Roland V-Drums and figured I would pick up a set at some point. Then I got into programming drum parts but its really painstaking work. I figured there had to be a better way and when someone on the reddit mentioned Jamstix had a "brain" I immediately made my way over to Rayzoon and bought it. I patiently watched DJBolivia's 4 part tutorial and I'm happy with the parts I'm creating with Jamstix

KVR, specifically while searching for the tag "drums" in the database.

Was simply searching for a good drum sampler plugin, without realizing that software like this even existed! Now I realize this may be a much better solution than writing drum parts by hand of tweaking the grooves included with other drum softwares.
