I've been using JS for years, thanks for an excellent product. My DAW is Sonar X3, I use Audio Jam mode because I haven't been able to figure out how to make MIDI jam work.

I've created many arrangements with JS, with only minor problems.

Recently I loaded a project that I hadn't touched in 2 years. When I play it the drums cut out periodically for exactly 1 measure. The rest of the tracks keep playing in time, and the drums resume after 1 measure.

I scratched my head a bit, rebooted, unloaded and reloaded JS, nothing helps. My only clue is in the JS control pnael. I observed that the Audio In indicator is off when the drums are silent. The bus where I loaded audiom8 has continuous audio throughout the song.

Does anyone here know how to troubleshoot this problem?

I'm using JS 3.6.0 x64 On Windows 10

Watch the song power knob during the drum silence. Is it all the way left?

While song is chugging along the power knob bounces around between 55-65%. It freezes at some value in that range when the Audio In indicator is off (and the drums are silent). At the end of the measure all is well again.

I observed something else. Watching the mixer tab during the silence, I can see that the engine is generating hits, but all of the mixer amplitude indicators drop to zero.

Please do a "Save Song" in JS of the project and email me the file.

On the chance that it may be something I had done deliberately and then forgotten, I looked at the part JS definitions again.

What I learned is that the last measure of every JS part in the song is silent. Very odd.

Your project causes errors during fill generation leading to silent fills. I'm investigating this and will get back to you.

Thanks! I recreated the parts and it worked. If it were a more complex song it would have been trouble, so I thought you should know about it.
