I was using 3.6.0 and was getting this error (floating point division by zero) when I try to insert a new part in the song menu.

I upgraded to 3.6.1 and I am still getting the error.

It doesn't matter whether I insert the part before or after the current part.

I was getting the same error with 3.6.1 x64. Before getting this error I had run a windows update and updated my video driver. I restored to the previous system restore point and the error has gone away. I don't know which was the culprit. Ralph, what do you think? Thanks!

I am sure as soon as Ralph sees this he will jump to help with your system setup to resolve this.

I understand your frustration but once the kinks are worked out and you get over the learning curve, you will not regret the purchase. It is probably the best purchase I ever made.

You might want to email Ralph as well.

Just chiming in to say I've got this problem also. I wonder if it's related to a recent Windows 7 update?

Confused

The issue has been identified and will be fixed in an update shortly. If this is causing any of you work stoppage, please email me and I'll get you a beta Build.

just to say been away for a month and now back and gettin' the div by zero - 'trying to remove a part from a wizard created song' - looking forward to the fix!

note to the guy/gal miffed above. Don't worry too much, I've had jamstix for 2 and bit years now and had very little trouble with it. This is not a big organisation with masses of resources - but its a great product - so hang in there

I have the problem too. I tried reinstalling 3.61 but that did not help. I'm dead in the water as far as making new projects.

I would be happy to test your beta update Ralph since I can't get anything done otherwise. LOL

I just noticed this as the others did so it must have been a windows update that caused the issue but the only update I have that is recent is for Explorer 11. I'm running windows 8.1
