| Is this old thread still alive? Might there be additional drummer models someday? I just wanted to second Bryan Devendorf. I was listening to The National and thinking what a blast it would be to have him on tap to jam with! |

We still take suggestions but can't make promises as to what gets implemented and when. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Tre Cool Greenday....
Any tips on how to create a facsimile of his style in Jamstix?
Thanks |

One thing Jamstix is sorely lacking in is soul drummers. First you need to cover Northern Soul with undersung greats such as Richard "Pistol" Allen, Bennie Benjamin, and Uriel Jones. These three "played on more number-one hits than the Beatles, Elvis Presley, the Rolling Stones and the Beach Boys combined."

Then you need to add in some Southern flair with someone like Al Jackson, Jr. (Stax)

Then I'll second the following:
Nick Mason
Bill Bruford
Dave Grohl
Ringo Starr
Mitch Mitchell
Bill Ward |

Putting this out there again:
Matt Cameron.
Vinny/Wackerman/Gary Husband "Allan Holdsworth band linear but not Garibaldi" fusion drummer. Tried mixing the Bruford+Garibaldi but that doesn't work. Copeland's influence makes the Stewart drummer almost there if the linear things could be integrated better/more easily/readily. Carter sort of does an aspect of it, but I want those compartmentalized Vinny shifted-accent things, poly subdivisions, across the bar linear fills, ...
And a Clyde Stubblefield/Jabo Starks/Zigg Modeliste "soul" drummer.
/ oh, to be Gordon Sumner and be able to just hire all of these people to sit around at your estate when you need them... |
