Installed Cubase Artist 8 yesterday. I am finding a problem with trying to add parts. I right click and add a new prat after the current one. From there, I get the pop-up asking to name the new part. That's it. It hangs. Have to close Cubase. When I re-open, sometimes the new part is there and sometimes not.

There is an error message that pops up in the background that says: "Cannot create file C:\Program Files\jamstix3\data\Temp.j2s". Access is denied."

Any assistance would be greatly appreciate.d

This is probably a permissions issue. Try editing the permissions for the Jamstix folder. See this FAQ (second question down).
