Or a quick way to do it within the GUI?

I know you can 'Extract From Other Player' to do this through the GUI. But I would like to load the 'Simplifier' from 'Charlie' on all drummers at one time.

I find that I reach for this element quite often.

Or maybe a 'Extract From Other Player' feature from one drummer to another drummer globally before or even after creating a song. Right now with the 'Extract From Other Player' feature, brain elements from other drummers can be added to current drummer for a particular part of a song. So if my song has 8 parts and I want to use this feature one some or all parts, I have to use 'Extract From Other Player' on each part.

I did not see this in the manual if it does exist.

After you extract from another player on one part, use 'Copy Part->Copy/Paste Drummer To All Parts' in the part menu to propagate the change to all parts at once.

You can also save a Player Preset after you extract the brain element and then it will be available in the Player Preset drop-down menu.

Thanks for this great tip! Presets are, in my case, a often forgotten but very useful tool.

Hi Guys,

All parts of my song use drummer James Stix including the intro (part 1). I extracted the Simplifier from Charlie and added it to James Stix in part 2. I was able to what Ralph suggested. This added the Simplifier option to subsequent sections of my song but not the intro (part 1). Is this the correct behavior?

I then did a Save Player Preset and called it James Stix w Simplifier. I can see this drummer properties file (prp) here:

C:\jamstix3\data\players

But I do not see it on the list of Players within the GUI.

Should I see the new drummer in the GUI?

I have 3.6.0 [x64].

Thanks I see it now. I was looking in the wrong place in the GUI.

The drummer should have been copied to the Intro also and probably was. The Brain Elements are arranged differently in the Intro so you probably overlooked the Simplifier control in it.
