| Is there a way to get Jamstix to create a hi-hat or ride track with an imported midi file of only kick and snare? I'm starting a song that needs a specific kick and snare timing, so I tapped it out myself. I was hoping I could get Jamstix to create the hi-hat playing automatically since it knows more about drumming than I do, but I just get the kick and snare with a few accents threw in there. I found one drummer (Will I think) that had an option to add 16th HH hits, but I couldn't find much else. Is there a way to do this, or perhaps a drummer with more options for generating a hi-hat or ride from scratch? Or do I need to try to create the hi-hat track myself and just let JS shape it? |

| Depending on how long the pattern is, you could use the two-bar program-it-yourself style... U-Pick Metal 2-Bar in the MetalPak, and I think there's one that works the same in the classic styles. Not sure. |

| I found what you are talking about I think. I can't seem to get my kick and snare pattern right in that mode, but that hi-hat control box sure would be handy on my imported groove. I'll play around with it some more. |

| Hey, thanks for the reply. I had watched that video when I first got JS in December and didn't know the program well, so I totally missed the importance of being able to import controls from different styles. That opens up a lot of new doors. Thanks for linking me that video! |
