Load jamstix in a VSTi slot, uncheck the edit button so the GUI disappears, then Power off the jamstix (but don't unload) and then power on.
Does this cause a cubasesx3.exe access violation?
didn't cause SX to quit, it kept running though.
I know its a strange sequence of clicks, it may be something on my system with my audio card or whatnot
I am running
Cubase SX 3.01, 2 gig RAM, XP Home SP2, No network connection, RME Hammerfall 9652

I have just test it , no problems with jamstix power off and on.
I have also Cubase SX 3.01 and HDSP 9652 with network connection.
Must be something wrong with your system

Don't mean to joke about bugs but...
...maybe it's like a real drummer: it doesn't like to be told to shut up... and then when asked to play again, it just pouts
PS: I'm a drummer myself _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hehehe!
Reading through your postings I can't believe you have a "power off"-knob _________________ Frank

Hey gmon72,
I just posted a notice in the GENERAL forum about the new update 0.99Q. It has an important GUI fix for Cubase which may also fix the problem you reported.
Let us know if it works for you! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

still get it with Q. If I load up jamstix and turn off the GUI (unchecking the VSTi edit button) and turn jamstix on and off several times I get an access violation.
If the GUI is up it doesn't happen turning jamstix on and off.
from what I gather on my system it looks like with GUI off it doesnt unload cleanly, and then turning it back on perhaps tries to load what is already loaded?
wierd thing. Not a big deal though as its not a sequence I normally perform. |
