jazzmandan, thank you for trying to help, but I've already tried everything you suggested. I'm aware of vst folder issues, I've had and dealt with so many so far. When I installed Jamstix 3.6 I made sure the dlls went right into the appropriate folders, I've checked the dlls myself, they were where they should be. First, as always, I installed just the 64 bits option; as Reaper failed to see the dll, I thought I maybe should install the 32 bits as well and see what happens. Reaper couldn't find either of the dlls. So, I used the option there's in Reaper to "clear cash/re-scan", but nothing changed. I noticed that sometimes after I uninstalled and reinstalled Jamstix 3.6, when opening, Reaper did the usual rescan and I could see Jamstix dll shown shortly during the opening process. I then went and checked the VSTIs, but Jamstix wasn't there. I know that may sound weird, but that's what I'm having here. I then go back to the most recent version I have (3.3), install it, and there you go, bingo! And one more time I make sure the dlls are going to the right folders, again and again. I've no idea of why this is happening here, but I sure need your help. I will, once again, try a new install of 3.6 and see how things go. If it fails again, I will send you Documents\Jamstix3\rzdlog.txt. I will keep you informed anyway. Thanks a lot guys!
Ps.: And jazzmandan, would you believe me if I told you that yesterday, as I tried every little trick I could think of to understand what was going on here, I drank the whole bottle of coffee? Cheers! |

After trying a reinstall and opening Jamstix 32 bit (Reaper couldn't find the 64 bit dll), I got this error message in Reaper:

What I did differently: I installed Jamstix and ran Reaper as Administrator. Help please! |

Okay, if you're running REAPER-64, you definitely want to run Jamstix-64. Let's get this fixed. Please email me \Documents\Jamstix3\sllink.txt and tell me the plugin search path for REAPER-64. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

First, rest assured the JS 3.60 and the current version of Reaper work nicely together.
Second, if your still stuck I can take a screen shot or video of the who installation and setup process which works well for me here. Just let me know we should be able to get you up and running today??.
And finally, lets stay all 64x, when you mix and match things don't work. |

Many, many thanks for bringing Jamstix to OSX. There is no better drum-software outthere!
All the best

|
|
Hi - I have "licenses" (is that the right term) for JS, with a bunch of packs purchased, which I used on my old machine. I've just got a new machine, and I haven't loaded JS on it.
Can someone point me to a step-by-step url for getting 3.6 on to my new machine (which has no JS at all on it)?
Thanks! _________________ Alexis

Jamstix-64 running fine on Reaper-64 here.
Only one issue so far: "Preview" bar button (blue circular arrow) not working - it lights up but no sound. Have to loop the bar and use Reaper transport to hear.
Really enjoying the Jamstix 1 styles! |

Uncheck the 'Close Audio...' options in the AUDIO prefs of REAPER. Let me know if that doesn't fix it. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Also getting a crash in Reaper with 3.6 (Windows Vista). After the crash the program just hangs and won't close even using Task Manager. I have to restart the computer. I used the default installation folders, same as always. VST .dll is in the right place. |
