Jamstix 3.6 has a bug that causes the GUI to be blank in Garageband. Work-around:

- open ~/Music/Jamstix3/jamstix3.ini with TextEdit
- in the [GARAGEBAND] section, set SkipHideGUI to 0.
- save and close the file
