I don't know if I'm missing something but if I cc map only parameters in the Fill section, it wont let me save the mapping. It opens the dialog box to save like normal and after clicking save it closes like normal but when you open the folder it was saved to, its not there. The parameters are mapped:
Jamstix - MIDI Controller Assignments
[Power]
Intro: Fill Beat Length
[Controller 1]
Intro: Fill Chimes
[Controller 2]
Intro: Fill Cymbal Amount
[Controller 3]
But only after I map some elements from the groove section, it does actually save:
[ECC]
Cymbals~2=69
Cymbals~10=68
Auto Snare~3=50
[EINV]
Cymbals~2=0
Cymbals~10=0
Auto Snare~3=0
And even after I add mapping for some groove elements, the fill mapping still works, but it doesn't show up in the saved file.
I was trying to create a txt file with all my mappings instead of doing it one by one in Jamstix when I realized this. I'm using Jamstix 3.5 32-bit in Reaper 4.61 32-bit on Windows 8.1 64-bit
Also, could someone explain the format of the ccmap txt file. I was thinking that the digits correspond to the elements in alphabetical order? For example, "Cymbals~2" is the 2nd Cymbals element when all elements are listed in alphabetical order? |

We're going to look into the fill CC saving, looks like a bug.
The ~2 etc. refers to internal mapping of brain element functions. Unfortunately, there is no way for end-users to know what sub-element of a brain element has what internal ID number. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Oh ok, thank you for looking into it!
Quick question: I was planning on making a wireless controller to change brain parameters. Should I wait until Jamstix 4 because the cc mapping might be different? |

I don't expect the CC mapping to be different in JS4 but can't make any guarantees at this point. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
