I just opened a project from a few weeks ago, and jamstix has no song information in it.

there was an ENTIRE song in here.

thankfully I have project backups, but wtf?

that happened to me a few times also. At first i thought it was my mind playing tricks on me. come back to a song the next day and Jamstix opened in wizard mode with song parts all gone. Shocked

I have seen this several times also. In both Cubase 6.5.5 and 7.5.1.
I saved the project and after reloading later, Jamstix was a blank slate. I also save my song within Jamstix and reloading it (within Jamstix) works with no future problems.(in other words the project doesn't appear to be corrupted or otherwise broken.)
I first noticed it after I started using the C7,5,1 trial and I was switching back and forth between Cubase versions with the same project. I thought that was the cause but I have seen it since after saving and reloading in the same Cubase version. It also works correctly most of the time when saving in one version and reloading in the other version. Now that others are seeing it, maybe it has nothing to do with the host.
The workaround for now is to save the song within Jamstix every now and then.
I also sometimes check the project file size after saving and it will be obvious if Jamstix did not save because I frequently save incremental project versions and the project file size will be significantly smaller than older ones when the Jamstix song doesn't save.

Beta 18 for me also. As I said, I can tell when it happens just by checking the file size of the project after I save. Is there something I can do to help such as sending you the project file or log right after it happens?

Happened yesterday in Beta17. Scary, but I had a back up of the Reaper project so it was still over there. Since then I learned to save the song in JS.

Yes, just had the same thing happen with my project today. I'm running Beta 18 (downloaded yesterday) and am lucky enough to have a recent save of the song.

Beta 20 will be out within the next two days. This should not happen with that Beta anymore.
