Thank you for the explanation about the articulations with respect to the missing key note display. I did not realize it worked like that.
It turns out that I really was getting all of the MIDI output. Unfortunately, the MIDI OUT from JamStix did something to mess up the settings of the Drum Synth VSTi that I was using (snares and hi-hats were affected in such a way that they stopped sounding like they were supposed to). Could be a bug in the Drum Synth VSTi I guess -- I only want the drum synth to respond to note on/off events -- not sure if MIDI CCs are being responded to as well. |

I just loaded a song that was fine yesterday. I installed 3.6.0 Beta 14 last Wednesday or Thursday evening. I had loaded this song since and had no problems. Yesterday I did add some new tracks and saved the session.
Normally I do a "save song as' in Reaper as I develop the tracks and wind up with a few versions. Did not do it for this one for some reason. And guess what this is the first time this has ever happened to me after 4 or so years of using Reaper.
Forgot to add that I am running Windows 7 Ent. |

Do you have this option enabled in Reaper? It will do exactly what you are describing. |

So many settings, so little time.
For me, the Beta 14 with Reaper is working fine. I have not seen any strange behavior and it is remembering what I save. Keep in mind my needs are simple although I just completed ~ 180 bars with ~8 sections of customized drums and no bad behavior from JS or Reaper - so right now I am feeling real good about Beta 14. |

No fraid not (although good to know FFR) also that wouldn't be the problem in FL or Cubase.
BTW are there minimum graphics card spec to run JS as since installing JS3.6 had a major crash / corruption of AMD Radeon Graphics drivers (don't think it caused it but after re installing the drivers and Catalyst Graphics management software I had the white GUI bug detailed earlier in the thread |

Followed instructions for installing Beta 14 and still getting the core gui ID=2 problem when I run reaper and load a song up.
After the core event problem I get nothing in rzdlog. I have this in apslog:

Are you using 32-bit or 64-bit Jamstix? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ralph – I am testing 3.6 beta 16c x64 and found these anomalies with midi import:
1) when selecting an import directory, Jamstix displays a white screen for a really long time(many minutes) while it searches for midi files. I am using SD2 and the midi libraries are deeply nested with multiple folders, this seems to cause the issue. If you select a directory with midi files and no sub-folders it seems to work fine.
2) when you select a midi file for import it appears to lock this file from use in other programs. When I try to use a file in SD2 that I just imported into Jamstix, it does not play. It appears that the file is being locked by Jamstix.

| 32 bit JS. On XP. Eventually Jamstix does run. Sometimes the next time I run Reaper, but not always. One time I ended up with Reaper closed but the JS gui still there as part of the audio server (maybe?). |

and then i close reaper and it freezes my entire system while it closes....
also when I open jamstix, must it prevent me from clicking on everything else on my entire system!?!?!
I will find crash logs and send |
