Can someone tell me how to remove a cymbal crash on the first bar of a part.
It doesn't appear as either part of the the groove, accent or fill.
There doesn't seem to be any way of removing it. |

Look for the start/end fill with cymbal crash check box. _________________ Core i7 4712QM, 16GB, Cubase 9 Pro on Windows 10. Scarlett 2i2. M-Audio Axiom Pro 61. Komplete 8. Jamstix 3.6. Absolute 3 VST. 418 Carrier Landings.

this is not a fill - it's the first bar of a part - actually the first bar of every part
has a crash - but I don't want that crash at the beginning of every part.
HOw do I get rid of it. |

Hi Grey_Hair, Check that "End Fill With Crash In All Parts" is disabled under Global Actions and then Clear Buffers. |

The "end fill with crash" actually plays the crash on the first beat of the NEXT part.
Thanks to azimuth for pointing out the global feature. Also, don't forget you can disable fills altogether in the song part list with the "RF:Repetition Fill" and "TF:Transition Fill" check boxes.

Yes these things work - if you don't want any fill or a fill with no crash
cymbals. But if you want what I want it's not happening. This is probably
a programming issue and also realizing that 99% of the time most human drummers will put a cymbal crash at the beginning of a verse or chorus after
some kind of fill. Which I also normally want. But this one time it would be nice to have the option to have it or not. |

What exactly would you like to happen?
Feel free to email me a JS3 song file with your song so I can take a look at the issue. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ralph has sent me a response to my request which works perfectly.
Hi Don,
Please do this:
- enable 'End fill with crash' in all parts via global actions.
- click FILL and go to the bar BEFORE the bar that you do NOT want the crash
to be on the first beat.
- now UN-check the 'End Crash' box in the brain and it will only affect that
one fill.
Best regards,
