|
|
Hello,
I created a MIDI track outside of Jamstix with all the velocities the same for each hit. What I want to do is import that MIDI track into Jamstix and have Jamstix play the same exact MIDI file but not with constant velocity. Basically, I don't want to alter the groove, all I want is Jamstix to play that groove as if a real drummer would play it with varying velocity of each hit. Currently I am unable to do that because Jamstix plays it with the same velocity of the MIDI file.
Thanks much for your help! |

Hiya.
Think I just left you a reply on the Reaper forum. |

Looks like I got this to work. Here are the steps if someone's looking for this information in the future:
After importing the MIDI into Jamstix, load the player. Now, the brain has a 'Feel' section and there's a Power Vary knob there. Turning that up does the trick. Infact, there's also a Timing Vary knob, so if you created a quantized MIDI track, use this to vary the timing, instead of randomizing notes within Reaper. |
