Hi,

First, a great tool i like it so much and i load my paypal acc.
to shoot this baby Very Happy .
Can i predefined the rhythm styles with freejam ( example:Rock ,Jazz)
Are in the Release Version different drum samples for BD,Snare etc.
Will you raise the outputs more than 4 for better mix capabilties ?
What's about a fill arranger (creater) to build my own fills and accents ?
I hope there are much more Fills in the Release Version as in the demo.

In the manual mode i have a click (glichtes) when jamstix change the rhythm styles by playing in Cubase SX 3.

Hi Onando and welcome to the board!

No, the free mode in Jamstix is rather across the rock/funk spectrum. Instead of giving you canned styles, the free jam operates off the style and control panel settings so you can achieve unique styles.

Or did you mean can you save your settings of the free jam controls as predefined styles?

There is another kit in the full version that is supposed to be a garage/basement band kit. We have been surprised by the interest in the internal engine so far! It was really never the focus of Jamstix what with our eyes glued to BFD and DFHS:) However, we may shift the focus in future versions...

You can set the outputs from 4 to 16 even in the demo version (mapping tab). However the console will be limited to the first four. The main reason is that it adds CPU load when most people have mixing capabilities in their hosts anyway.

We have a poll for a Jamstix SDK in the poll forum. With enough requests we will release a SDK in the near future on how to add fills and accents. Yes, there will be more fills & accents in the release

First time we hear about that. Does it happen with the new 0.99M version as well?

If nothing else, the internal engine allows you to get ideas together, and then if you decide you want to reder a midi file, assign each drum to its own midi track / VSTi and use a different instrument for each drum... well, you could!

BTW, will Jamstix support DKFH Custom and Vintage when it comes out? Will it even have to do anything differently than what it already does for DKFH Superior? Have you gotten any positive feedback from any drum VSTi developers? I would think the makers of DKFH and BFD in particular would be congratulating you. Smile

It shouldn't be much different but we'll know for sure when we get our grabby little hands on our copy Cool

We have received some very gracious comments from the guys at toontrack, fxpansion and other companies...

No clicks in the 0.99M Version when the rhythm gets change ,works fine.

Whats with the latency problem, with 1,5 ms it sounds absoloutly groovy
but in a full arrangement it's not possible to work with this settings ?
By the way i have a RME HDSP 9652.

What's with Cubase latency compensation cannot work for jamstix ?

Maybe if they knew that Jamstix is what makes me want to be their customer, they'd get it to you EARLY. Wink (DFKH C+V, this means you)

@ gmon72 and zauni:

open an existent or make a new Cubase SX project.
load jamstix in manual mode and load any rhythm
raise your soundcard buffers up to , for example 4096 (93ms)
turn on the metronom.
Start to play and you will hear that jamstix is not in Sync with Cubase

I have a look in the Cubase Plugin informations and automatic
delay compensation box is checked for jamstix.
Anything is going wrong, please check this.

Hi Onando,
I looked into this and the delay compensation of Cubase SX is for VST effects only (audio path) according to the Cubase documentation.

Load up other synths and you'll notice they are all delayed when you play them.

Hope this helps

There is an issue though with the positional data with high latency. Jamstix seems to stumble out of sync.

We're looking into it...

Well - IMHO there's one point getting out of view more and more: Many products are developed as if there was an endless amount of pro-users waiting for them: tons of knobs and endless possibilities. Truth is, many of us want gear that could be used spontaneously and as an instant source of inspiration without reading 800-page-manuals and without having the opportunity to twist even the last aspect of sound. This tweaking may be left for the mixing and mastering sessions ...
There probably is a huge amount of customers who will be satisfied if there were some decent internal soundsets available to try out jamming without thinking about the final sound.
Just my thoughts ...
So Zauni: Fix me some decent Zauni-sounds and I'll be satisfied Smile
