hi i am a guitarist ( with no drumming skills ) i like to do cover songs but am limited to whatever midi file i can lift the drumtrack from and then add all other instruments. i bought jamstix as it seemed to be ideal for me. First time i tried it i got real lucky the song was Rainy day people and the drums that it created fitted perfectly i just added a few fills and bingo job done. Now to my question the song i am currently trying is Germ free adolescent but i cant begin to get anything like the original drums they sound fairly simple i know the song tempo is 129 bpm but the drums sound slower could anyone guide me on how to recreate this drumtrack in jamstix 3. sorry for such a long winded question but any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Bigmalh

Try 'Jamstic Classic' style and set the kick and snare like this:

cool song! this is a half-time rhythm, so you have to click "half time" in the upper part of the "song"/"groove"-section.

I think it is maybe even shuffled, so you can additionally dial this at the left side "shuffle" (next to the wizard button).

please make sure to post your song here at the forum, I am curious to hear the outcome!

wow thanks for your help had a quick play and its in the ballpark .I won't get much time to work on it till next week ( too much dr who stuff on telly this week) . I guess i need to spend time with the manual to really understand this fantastic program and figure out what does what and why.
As for posting the song when done i have done a few cover songs now but i am never happy with vocals as i'm not a great singer ( maybe an instrumental version ) . I did a cover of bank robber by the clash using jamstix for the drums but again the drums seem slower than the song tempo which when coupled with my crap vocals make it sound like a really cheesy cabaret song .anyway thanks again for pointing me in the right direction Bigmalh
