OK, this is a strange one...i have noticed that when i drive NI Studio Drummer (Stadium Kit - Metal preset) with Jamstix the kick sound different to if i am playing studio Drummer on its own...
Different in a bad way though, like it goes from "tight" to "flabby" Not a huge amount but definitely noticeable on my monitors and headphones...
Anyone else with this issue? |

You're probably getting the JS kit playing at the same time as the NI Studio Drummer.
I'm not sure of the process of using NISD with JS, but I've had this happen with the SSDex drums that I have. It was a while ago, but basically, I think it was this:
On the JS channelstrip IO section in reaper, make sure the parent/master send is unticked or you'll be sending the JS to the main output as well as sending it's midi output to NISD.
I think... but I had definitely managed to get JS+SSDex coming through in Reaper at the same time. Actually sounded pretty cool and "fat", but it wasn't "right".
Ok, I've had a muck around. If you load a JS Rayzoon mapping, and send the midi out in JS's reaper track to Kontrol on a separate track, you'll get both kits going at the same time.
So, yeah, I'm going to bet something like that is happening. |

Also, check the velocity levels received by NI-SD for the kick. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
