Hi Ralph,
I'm getting ready to setup my rig on windows7 64bit. Jamstix 3.5 beta3 64bit seemed to work fine with MultitrackStudio 64bit on that rig but when I updated to beta8, it gave me this issue. Once I close MTS and try to reopen it gives me the message that only one instance of MTS can be open at once. I checked in task manager and there's no applications opened. So I tried the same setup on my laptop with vista but everything running 32bit and that too has the same issue. After Rebooting the computer it lets me reopen MTS.
My working rig at the moment is window XP 32bit MTS and Jamstix 3.3.1 beta2 and that operates with no problem.
Not sure if I did something wrong when I updated to bete8!!  |

It's not an inconvenience as I still have my main system running just fine. Just getting ready to upgrade in the near future.  looking forward to the fix.

Work around rather then reboot for now is: task manager> Processes>MTStudio.exe>End Process. |
