Hi,
Sometimes when I'm making drum tracks in MIDI using Jamstix, when I hit the snare it rings like the drummer's hitting near the rim of the snare. It sounds really cool, but I'm not able to reproduce the sound... is there some controller change or something like that that toggles that? Or perhaps a key toggle?

Hi Greg, the snare rimshots are automatically inserted by the audio engine when certain conditions are fulfilled (several high velocity snare events in rapid succession). There is currently no function to initiate this manually in Jamstix. We'll see about adding this in a future update.

Hi.
I've realized that I haven't heard ANY rim shots thrown into my JamStix' rhythms lately. Is this an intentional omission with the newer versions of JamStix, or is there a trick that I'm missing?
I can't express how absolutely cool I think those occasional, perfectly placed rim shots sounded when thrown into a nice fill. (The words "heavenly" and "jaw-dropping" come to mind.) To me, this algorithmic effect was alone worth the price of the software, and I REALLY miss hearing them.
Please, please reinstate the rim shots in a JamStix update, or tell me how I can achieve them again using the current X6-5 beta.

Hi Lair, you are right: we did disable rimshots for now for various reasons but will bring them back soon!
