|
|
Hello. Intel i5 computer, running Win 7 64 bit, Sonar X2a 64 bit.
I just installed JamStix 3.5.0 (64 bit VSTi) in my DAW. The install seemd to go fine, and Sonar loaded up an instance of JamStix w/o complaint.
1) Where to I find the user manual?
2) I installed the stock kits, XL pak, AI pak, and Jamcussion. I loaded the Rock/Standard kit. The interface tells me "41 sounds missing", and indeed clicking on any kit piece gives silence. Same thing when I loaded the Rock/Big Kit (XL) - it says "46 sounds missing" and I get no audio when clicking on the kit pieces. How do I fix this? |

OK. I think I fixed the audio problem. I closed Sonar, then re-opened it and loaded up JamStix again. Audio appears to be function as explected.
Where can I find the User's Manual? |

Check the install folder... jamstix3\data\docs
I also have a link to it in the start menu (created by the installer)
I also want to say there is a way to open it from the GUI (maybe clicking on the logo?).
If all those fail...

Hello. thank you jas_lan, for your helpful reply.
I previously used JamStix 2, and I thought I remembered there was a way to access the user manual from the interface. I don't see it in JamStix 3
No matter, if I can get it from the Start Menu, or download it from this site.
Thanks again. |

I just checked... I also could not find a way to get the manual directly from the GUI. I must have been thinking of another plug-in.

| I apologize in advance for hijacking this thread, but the subject of the post is appropriate to me. I have installed JamStix 3.5, and I am unable to hear any sound from any of the JamStix kits. I will try to PM you with a link to the rzdlog.txt file. |

Just thought I would share what the issue turned out to be. I had changed the NTFS security settings of the Jamstix sound sample files to be read only. Unfortunately, some of the file routines used by the Jamstix VSTi could not open the audio samples for reading without first having write privileges. Ralph said that this issue would be corrected in the next Jamstix beta. |

| Thanks Tone_def, problem report threads that provide no final resolution do suck. |
