I am asking for some tips re the Live Loop option.

As I read the manual it seems that once this option is selected, then all that is required to get JS to move to a new section is to send a program change.

Well I have been trying this, and so far it is not working.

I am using an A70 controller keyboard, and the MIDI light in JS lights when I press a program change (1 or 2 or 3 etc) but the song just keeps looping the same part.

I am trialling it with the factory song 12 bar blues. And I have JS set on MIDI Jam.

Thanks

So I take it then that Live Loops do not work, and do not respond to Program changes.

Can no-one shed any light on whether Live Loop works or not? I have also tried the "assigning" key method and it does not work either.

Make sure you are running 3.5.1 Beta 8 for program changes to work in Liveloop mode.

Thanks, yeah it is the 3.5.1 Beta I am running. I also just experimented with octave settings on the keys method (not that I like using keys - but for testing purposes) and still nothing.

I know the Roland is transmitting a PC as it works on other apps and programs..

Does JS need a combination of CC0/CC32 and then a patch# combination perhaps?

I just downloaded the update which does say 8 on the download section, but after installation. JS displays 3.5.1 Beta 3 , not 8?

What am I missing here?

What am I missing?

I forgot to also tfr the RTXC file Embarassed

Now it is working on patch change, but an interesting quirk, it starts from patch change 2.

Could this be because of the Roland patch numbering which starts at 1 to 128, whereas GM starts at 0 to 127?

Does JS have a setting for this? I mean to "force" the Roland patch numbering?

Patch value 1 is translated to Part 1 and so forth. Not sure how your host is showing this to you. I'll see about making this adjustable in a future update.
