| Is there a way to have one limb (kick) not get altered by tweaking things while "composing"? For instance, if I want to hear hat variations? |

Unfortunately that is not possible at the moment. You can freeze brain elements, however. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Is there anything that would prevent me from opening 3 instances of JS, muting everything but the kick on one, hats/ride on the other, and the inverse on the remaining copy - in order to be able to separately tweeze/audition parts without disturbing one or the other?
Or is there some other method I'm completely missing? |

I'd advise against multiple JS instances not only due to complexity but also for performance reasons. Try this: left-click on the KICK header in the brain and click 'Freeze'. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
