I am using:
Jamstix demo 4-28 w/ samples
Cubase SX 2.2
midox
M-Audio 2496
pc w/ windows 2000
Jamstix works fine for a while on a new project in keyword mode. Then, after a few starts and stops via Cubase transport controls, it begins to hop from measure 1 to measure 100 and plays a continuous succession of simultaneous kick & crash cymbals. the arranger window shows jamstix is writing something to measure 999 is is attempting to write more.
I've rebooted, restarted cubase, and unloaded-reloaded jamstix in the virtual instrument rack and still the same. |

This is odd. How long does it work before the problem appears? Also, is this with MIDI input, audio input or without any input? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks for responding so quickly!
Jamstix works for several 'plays' - maybe 15 or so. I am using midi input.
It seemed like I heard some 'popping' while I went on line browse for other info - cubase was open and idle. After that, the problem started. Close and reopen cubase and I get the same.
My piano midi track midi output port is set to 'thegrand' VSTi. the same track has a send set to Jamstix for the midi input. the problem still occurs even when I disable the send & also when I do not load Midiox.
I just started another blank project and all works well with Key Word Jam.
... Jamstix looks like a great tool! |

Are you using emulated MIDI ports? Those caused some trouble for some users before.
Does anyone else see this? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

not using emulated midi ports anymore.
I copied my parts over to another project file. (glad it's just a trio - lol).
I'll check back in later if the same thing happens again. |
