We are getting closer to implementing a Jazz addon for Jamstix and would like your feedback on it.

  • includes a Jamstix plugin update that adds logic to Jamstix to allow snare brushing and other jazz-exclusive techniques
  • adds a complete brush kit including sizzle ride cymbal and snare brushing sounds
  • adds jazz accents, fills and rhythms

The JazzPak would have an estimated price of $39.

This would be a great add-on and for me an important one.

So the add-on would have its own set of samples? And a full range of all its own styles, fills, etc?

In Sonar for example, would it load in as part of the existing Jamstix module or be inserted as a separate dxi (VST?) apart from Jamstix?

Sounds great ... will there be a demo?

JazzPak would integrate fully into Jamstix. No separate plugin or UI. You would receive the data files (samples, accents, fills, rhythms) and a license file that would unlock the JazzPak functions in Jamstix.

There will be a demo version.

An excellent idea and one I am definately very interested in, although at $39 addon to a product I paid $79 for it seems a little steep in comparison. (I realise I got a discount when I bought initially Wink ) If the kit itself is good then this might make it worth it to me.

Will it be possible to demo the addon (obviously limited in some way) prior to purchase ?

<edit> - just seen the comment re a demo version Wink

The JazzPak is a niche product. At $39 we will just be covering the costs.

Oh I don't doubt that - it just made me think twice. But I have thought now, so you can change my vote from 'maybe' to 'definately' Wink
