Hi All:

When I load a kit, I go to the Toontrack submenu and see 2 options: "EZ Drummer" and "Superior 2". I select the Superior option but when I choose "Show Key Map" from the drop down menu, the text file that opens in Notepad shows a very limited number of articulations.

Am I missing something or do I need to somehow make my own kit map?

I have messed around a bit with kit maps but find it very confusing. Selecting "Show Key Map" opens a text file called "Keys". Do I make changes in this file? If so, how do I go about saving it as a key map (kmap) file?

(I have also opened the kmap files using Notepad and they are formatted much differently than the "keys" text file.)

I can't seem to find any info on the forum or in the user manual.

Thanks a bunch.

If you think an articulation is missing, add them in the kit editor and then save the kit.

This is exactly what I'd like to do but, as I stated in my original post, I can't figure out how to do it.

Also, I should have mentioned that this is only an issue when I want to import a pre-existing MIDI groove. For example, I recently got a message that said, "Key #82 cannot be mapped." However, key 82 is a rimshot on tom 1 in Superior Roots.

Jamstix does not support tom rimshots. I'll put it on the to-do list to adjust SD import to map #82 (and similar) to normal tom hits.
