I feel like I'm missing something obvious, but I'm banging my head against the wall here.
At the start of a chorus, I want the drums to drop out for a bar and a half. When I manually make these edits, the repetitions that are in the same part pick up the same empty bar. I think it's because the bar I'm manually editing is a core bar, but I don't see how to arrange the parts to avoid that.
What am I missing? |

Lock the bars that you don't want to change, then change the first bar.

| Thanks. Won't that mean that if I want to recompose the locked bars later, I'd be back to the drawing board? That's less than ideal, but I suppose I could just do the manual edits last. I'll try it out when I get to my daw later this week. |
