Just searched "jamstix 3 upgrade" in the support forum & got 249 matches - read a few that didn't help with this question. Im doing a complete DAW flush/reload over the holidays... Do I need to (or should I) install everything from JS1 before I install JS3? I started with JS1, Drumpacks 1 and 2, and Snarepack 1. Will I miss any sounds with JS3 if I don't install all these packs? Thanks in advance & Happy Holidays!

You don't need JS1/2 installed. Just install JS3 and all JS2/3 Paks you have on your download page. XLPak includes the 5 JS1 expansions (SnarePak etc.). _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks, Ralph. I'm finished with the reload and am installing my plugins - finished with Jamstix3 install. It works fine but I'm definitely missing some sounds - especially some favorite snare sounds from JS1. I just took another look at your reply and the part "XLPak includes the 5 JS1 expansions (SnarePak etc.)" seems to have escaped my first read. Trouble is I don't have an XLPak download available! |

You're missing BrushPak and ePak, which is why you don't have the full XLPak download. Work-round: in the Pak installer enter *.rxp as the file name and you should see the RXP files for your DrumPaks #1,#2 and SnarePak and you can then install them. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
