Third time I have posted this song but I have been very unhappy with the mix. Have I nailed it this time? Not sure. What do you think? I keep at it because the song seems to be worth it. Using combination of JS2, BFD2 and Sonar's session drummer.

This song is really, really good Sunny but it really is lacking in the mix department. I like how the song has evolved through its various revisions but the mix (as it sounds on Soundcloud anyway) has no definition, amongst other problems. I don't mean to be harsh but I feel that the song isn't being done justice the way it is now. Do you know anyone with more experience recording who could offer help? Seriously, I'm not trying to be rude, just honest. That's my .02.

Point taken on the mix quality. I have taken another crack. Is this any better?

I'm not a mix reviewer, Sunny, but I have reviewed a lot of songs at GarageBand in its heyday and currently at Audiopolis.org I have reviewed 200 songs. As a song, I enjoyed Paradise taking a very soft poke at organized religion, which one it doesn't matter, although some might be easier to offend than others. The story is of an entire life lived in accordance with the plan, accepting the promise of reward in an afterlife that justifies all the badness before death. So there is a touch of doubt expressed in these lyrics, and even though the December rhyme is throwaway, I can live with it given the underlying message.

The nanananas are nicely delivered, and the melody and arrangement in general are not earth shattering but really quite pleasant and don't remind me of some other song. Performance is tight, and the vocals are engaging, and even though I cannot judge the production professionally I am very happy with the sound. Lots of space, great diction, and the drums sound fantastic to my ears.

I haven't forgotten about you Sunny but I'm busy helping out family in N.J. after the storm. I'll check out your new mix in a few days.

Very kind of you to even think of me under the circumstances. Take care and hope everyone in your family is alright.

A brilliantly crafted song.. It might be worth it for you to drop a few bucks in a studio with an engineer. I know that's easier said than done.
