Hello Ralph,
Can I set the kit and the Percussion parts in one keyfile or in two? I tend to use a Superior Drummer library for kits and the Latin Percussion EZX (with extras) for percussion, sometimes together.
It would be great if I could save each aspect in its own Keyfile, but I'm having problems getting my head around it...
Many thanks.

Hey Ralph...
"I use double monitor configuration and prefer to move Jamstix window to the secondary one. If I click any menu icon then menu itself still appears on the primary monitor (stuck to its border)....."
I seem to be having the same issue as now
Worked fine in 3.5 beta 12 ?? (I skipped 13)... After updating 3.5 final release i have this issue... (when right clicking to change kit piece etc)...strange cause as i said, worked fine on dual monitors in the beta's

Ralph, I have upgraded my system to Windows 7 (x64) - no more problems with menus in multimonitor mode. Seems to be an issue with Windows XP (x86, SP3 that was my previous setup).
Along with Jamstix kit libraries (XL, BP) I use Superior Drummer as a plug-in. I found new key mappings for SD compared to JS v3.3.0. Thanks for this improvement. |

|
|
Maybe I missed it in the release notes, but I had to re-import all of my drum sounds (I have XL and API so lots of files). This is the first time that I had to do this with any upgrade. Everything was installed to the same directories, so this was kind of surprising. The new pak installer is nice, but one thing that I noticed is you can't delete anything out of the pick list (I accidentally clicked two of the same file). Question...In this scenario does the pak installer load them twice (using lots of disk space) or recognize that the files already exist in the directory and skip???
Also I would love to import the kit (note) names when using my midi editor but the kit files don't seem to come over.
I am using Reaper (current version).
Kind of nit picks, as I love the software. |

| I have JS 3.3 with all of the packs running on Cubase 6.5.3 using the built-in bridge. How do I upgrade to 3.5 x64? |

|

The upgrade process apparently isn't so seamless with respect to time signature changes. I have a song that has switches back and forth between 3/4 and 4/4, at first after the upgrade, the "enable time signature changes" was unchecked. But the song list still showed them, and jamstix kept looping back to an arbitrary location in the previous part when the host reached a change.
I found that problem and re checked the option, then all the parts in jamstix reverted to 4/4, which caused the same "loopback" problem when the host reached a change, so I had to go back and fix all the 3/4 parts, plus recompose those parts that had played through b4 with the wrong signature.

Using 3.5 32 bit with Live 8.3.4 (32 bit). No drums or midi from JS until you bring up the JS GUI, if you close the GUI whilst playing th drums continue however if you then stop the host and restart - no sound.
Also tried putting and end part to a song structure (not using the wizard) but it always placed it 2nd on the list after the intro even though I'd highlighted the last part in the structure.
Thats all for the moment - really impressed with the new version and cant wait to try out the 64 bit ver. when Ableton finally release 64 bit Live
tanks for all the hard work, really appreciate it |

Thanks Ralph happy to be 64 bit.
It may be my imagination but it seems that 3.5 is more processor hungry than 3.3b12.
Also a few issues with the graphics. I my case the only graphic issue I have is when running the gui on my second monitor. Some of the drop down menus are shown on the main monitor and not seen near the gui. _________________ Tom |

| FWIW, whatever was causing a problem for me when exiting the 64 bit beta has been fixed. v3.5 64 works ultra-smooth for me in Reaper now, easily the most stable and appealing Jamsitx version yet. Thanks! |

Hi Ralph,I installed the 3.5 update today and now it says that the licence file is missing! I have done a complete My Computer serach and the only file I can find is the one in my d drive Jamstix3 folder orisinally called licence and listed as a rich text document which I renamed as you recommended. This did'nt work though and it still says the file is missing!
I may have missed a previous version update I'm not sure, and I have'nt been trying the beta's,so perhaps its due to not installing the previous full version update. What do you suggest? |

| Just saw the sale and noticed that Jamstix is now $59, which is a fantastic price, but also that the update is still $49. Is there going to be any discount for an update to v3? |
