|
|
Hi Ralph,
I am currently beta testing Live 5, and it crashes hard (requires reboot) when I insert Jamstix.
I left a message on their beta forum about it, and one of the developers (Frank Hoffmann) responded with:
"Please report this to the producers of jam stix. I don't think there is much I can do about that."
Would it be possible for you to communicate with Ableton to resolve this? Live 5 is going to be a fantastic (and very popular) host, and it is really important to have Jamstix working wee within it.
Cheers

That's a real shame considering it works fine in Live 4.1. Could you give me an E-mail address to reach Frank Hoffmann? If so, please send it to support@rayzoon.com _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I reponded in the Live 5 Beta forum with the following. I really hope we get this sorted:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Frank,
At your suggestion I contacted the Ralph Zeuner(developer of Jamstix) to tell him about it crashing the V5betas.
His reply was:
"That's a real shame considering it works fine in Live 4.1. Could you give me an E-mail address to reach Frank Hoffmann? If so, please send it to support@rayzoon.com
I sent your email address to him, so would it be possible for you to open some dialog with him in order to get this resolved? "

Cheers
Jed

Frank Hoffmann from Ableton has contacted us and we'll be working on resolving the issue.
Big thanks to Ableton who clearly are taking care of their customers and developer relations! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Frank Hoffmann has informed us that deactivating "Auto Open Plug-in Window" in the Live 5 beta will solve the problem with Jamstix. This is not a solution, just a work-around until we get this fixed. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

That worked - At least I can get my daily Jamstix hit whilst testing the V5 betas until a proper fix is released

Just tested Jamstix with Live 5 Beta 16 and the problem appears to be fixed for me. Can you concur? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Just downloaded beta 16
How do you setup Jamstix and BFD.All up in AL 5?
I'm new to AL, so I haven't a clue on how to get it working, especially with instruments and multi-outs
I'd like to use BFD.All on its own, then run Jamstix through it (so not using BFD as an external vst inside Jamstix)
I'd be grateful for any help
Cheers all

Hi Ralph,
I'm back in town now and I now have both the release version of Live 5 and X4-28 downloaded and installed.
Unfortunately Jamstix still freezes Live when it is loaded, unless the 'Auto-Open Plug-in windows' option is turned off in Live's Preference/Plug-in tab.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to help
Cheers
