Hi,
I'm using a Novation Launchpad in standard Live input mode as a controller for a live set.
I have Jamstix set up on one midi track, configured in live loop mode with 8 parts.

I set up another midi track with Program change clips so I can trigger the Jamstix part changes. It has its "Midi To" set to the Jamstix track.

I have two problems.

When I press Play button to start playback, Jamstix will only start playing automatically if its tracks Monitor is set to Auto.
However, the Program changes for Live Loop part switching will only get received if the Jamstix Tracks Monitor is set to In.

If I try and start playback with Jamstix track Monitor set to In Jamstix will not sound at all, no matter with PC I hit. It is playing however.

This makes it difficult to use live as I need to have Jamstix track in Auto Monitor mode to start, then use my mouse to change it to Monitor In so the PC Live Loop part switches are received.

Is there something I'm missing here?
I just want to hit play and start playing, using the launchpad straightaway to control Part changes.

Why the extra MIDI channel? When I was doing this I just put the program changes on the Jamstix track.

I can't seem to get Jamstix to start playing otherwise

I'd be interested to know exactly what yor setups in Live are as I'm having similar problems both in getting jamstix to change parts with pg commands and also the issue of no sound from Jamstix with pg changes in the jamstix track.
I have to admit that in using Jamstix and Live now for a number of years I have never got the Live loops to work as I assume it should and so for gigs I always record the JS parts as audio clips in session view.

Firstly many thanks for the link to als file - very useful.
I tried it yesterday and it was working fine although I hadn't appreciated that the song parts will only loop the first 4 bars and not the repetition ( not a real problem).
However I tried it again today and it just wasn't working at all the song just played through the structure as if Liveloops was turned off.
Js was receiving the midi and the messages 'LL request for verse 1' or' LL request for Chorus' were displayed but JS semed to ignore these.

Also I noted that when I modified the clips to try to get program changes to control live looping nothing happened.

immediatly after last post I went back to Live and have no idea what I did but it is now working. Except it is ignoring chorus 3 Will try and work out what is happening

No good its started ignoring the requests again and this time I didn't do anything other than start the song again.
