| I had it in the default position, about midway. Then I experimented with moving it around. I'm going to give it another shot and see if I physically missed something. |

Figured it out, I don't know why but when I opened the project back up everything started working. Now I just have to read up on the tempo and I should be making tunes that jam in no time. Thanks for the quick response, this program is sweet! |

| Ralph, I wish all software companies took care of their customers like you do. Sad day for me as I am going to look for an alternative as I simply can not make music anymore using Cubase 6 64 bit on Windows 7 64. I have tried going back to the older programs Jamstix 1 and 2 using jbridge with no luck. Jamstix 3 will work sort of with jbridge but the options are now too much too control. I just want to make simple music and compatibility ans simplicity is not happening. Sorry... this is a great product in 32 bit and I made a ton of music with it. I think you are close to 64 bit now with all the variations its too much for a guy like me that appreciates Jamstix 1. I know sounds dumb... |

Have you tried the JS 3.5 64-bit Beta? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Yes, tried it and on my system a bit frustrating so I went to 3.3.0 with jbridge but that didn't help much... then back to 1.8.1 and then 2.5.3 with jbridge but that was futile... I may be dull but I wish version 1 could be 64 bit, but jbridge does not work on this and clumps all the midi data together on the first beat of the measure... sometimes the best music experience is with using windows and then again sometimes the worst as well since every system is an unique configuration. The software when I was configured 32 bit was awesome and again I made a good use of it and appreciated your customer service and attitutude toward customers. You are very kind and I still hope the 64 bit version will be completed soon as I will still try it out. |

Hello! After the upgrade to Cubase 7.5 PRO version 8 (currently 8.0.5) there is a problem when using Jamstix (3.6.1 x64).
The problem is this: after the launch JS tool rack mode after attempting to change the volume of the JS in the corresponding bus audio C8 stops sound. If you do not touch the fader, JS works as before with no problems. Is there a solution?
My system: Win 7x64, intel core i7 3770K, 16Gb RAM, audio interface FW16E (Motif XF), Cubase Pro 8.0.5 x64 |

Just to clarify: you touch the volume slider in Cubase, sound stops and never comes back? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Hello, Ralph! Yes, that's right - the sound completely lost and not recovered. In this case, MIDI messages arrive in JS. Perhaps the problem in Cubase, expected next update, there are still a number of problems - for example, switching presets BFD3. I'm going to place the information in support Steinberg, but I need to make sure that there are no problems in JS. |

Hello, Ralph! Again, I turn to you with a problem. The gist of it is this:
1. Launch JS3.6.1 in Cubase 8.0.10 as Rack Instrument.
2. Run the drum module (tested BFD2, BFD3, BFD ECO, Steinberg Groove Agent 4.2, SSD4) - adjusts them as input Jamstix 3 MIDI Out.
3. Checking - MIDI messages coming from JS3 to another module, and when you click the mouse, and using a MIDI keyboard.
4. loading style - starts playback sequencer DAW - all wonderful, generated JS 3 rhythm play sound of the drum unit (hereinafter vozmem, for example BFD).
5. Next - problem. When you try to click on another track in the DAW playback becomes wrong - lost some blows, the pace becomes arbitrary. Also, when you try to stop the playback DAW - Jamstix continues to work and send messages.
The problem I noticed on two computers:
Both Win7 (one - 32bit, the other 64 bits)
DAW - Cubase 8 Pro and Cubase 8 Elements (version 8.0.10).
That's the same in Cubase 7.5.40 version works without comment.
Please help. JS3 file attached.

Before playing, use task manager to set the priority on 'jamstix.exe' to 'High' and see if that affects the behavior. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Jamstix has priority "High" on a different computer. The problem remains. Helped set a priority "in real time". |

I am a newbie with Jamstix, but so far I have not seen this problem in my Cubase 8.0.10 running on Windows 8.1
I start Cubase as "run as administrator". Have you tried if this makes a difference? |
