Another way is to load Battery into Jamstix to make things easier. Have you tried that?

This is exactly what I would prefer to do - But how do I do that? - I see the button for configure drum module ( I think that's what i'ts called) - and when i do that it shows the Battery .dll but I cant see the module itself

How do I load into Jamstix so that I can configure the kits, midi channels, etc.

- Switch to 'External VSTi' in Jamstix mapping tab
- In Open dialog select battery.dll and OK
- Battery config screen should open up after a few seconds so you can configure Battery as needed.
- If you close the Battery GUI, click 'Configure' button in mapping tab to re-open it.
- once Battery is set up as needed, click 'Save' in Jamstix mapping tab to store the configuration for future use.

Ok - So in this setting I am not using the Midi Only out feature and as far as mapping the sounds to seperate midi channels I still do this in Jamstix and not in the Battery GUI correct?

Correct, do not use 'MIDI Out Only' if you want to load Battery into Jamstix. MIDI Out channels are controlled by Jamstix via jamstix.ini settings.

Ralph - you have been excellent (and very, very patient) supporting me in getting this up and running and I really do appreciate it mate!

This is excellent service and as a business man myself I value that - I obviously have a lot to learn here but you can count on me being a longterm customer who will follow the upgrade paths as they come.

Doesnt mean I am not still going to pepper you with stupid questions though Laughing

Hi Dwayne
What you need to do is go to mappings make sure outputs is 16,click external vsti, find your vst plug ins folder(steinberg) ,and then click on battery 2 .dll vst. When you have got battery performing a little like you want, you can save the mapping, and then next time you come to use Jamstix you can click on 'load mapping', find the name you saved it as,and Battery 2 will load for you.

Thanks Steve - Good Looking out!!

IF I am not mistaken you are the one that posted the Map for Batt 2 - correct?

If you dont mind my asking - Can you give me an idea of how you set up and use Batt 2 & JS - I would like very much to isolate each sound on a it's own audio track - This must be done in the JS .ini file right? Is this the way you work? just looking to gain as much info as possible
