I had a part in mozmbique phil and had a drum pattern i liked. I stopped playbac, at least I think I did, and changed the time sig in the host (reaper 3. 78 I think. Then played and tthe part had changed. Maybe not the pattern, but suddenly there were big empty holes and totally different hit assignments (different drums and cymbals). Went back to original time signature hoping the part would come back but no dice.
Also can you explain what the allow time sig changes option does, means, or when to use or not use?
Another thing, more of an annoyance, and something that has been happening through all updates (I did finally get 3.3 going) -- jamstix gui loses parts of itself sometimes (I think after it is minimized or the host is maximized or something). You just have to go back and click it again in the fx window but still . . .

You changed the time signature in Reaper when there was no corresponding time signature change in Jamstix. You have to have a time signature change at the same bar in Jamstix for EVERY time signature change in Reaper and vice versa. Your original drum part was recomposed, that is why it disappeared.

It allows you to create time signature changes within your Jamstix song. Use it if you want a time signature other that the default 4/4. |

Ok that makes sense. But how do you change the time signature in Jamstix (I suppose it would be a new part)?

so I can set a time signature for each part of the song, right? |

In the Songsheet, where all of the individual song sections are listed ie Intro, Verse, Chorus....., click on either the # of bars or reps and it opens a dialog window for each individual song part that you click. See page 54 of the Jamstix manual for what time sigs are allowed. Then you have to insert the corresponding changes in Reaper. (shift+c by default) Don't forget to insert a time sig change where your song goes back to 4/4 also.

| You're welcome. Cockos Licecap is great for quick animated GIFs like this. I find them to be the most effective way to explain something. |
