Well, try it with a wacom pen Wink

It's the one thing that makes me use jamstix much less than I would like to.
I don't even have a mouse anymore and with the pen - even with shift pressed - you can make no exact adjustments in JS, just go in a general direction and try to only move 1/10000 of a millimetre to get there... but whoooosh - maximum overdrive again...

I look forward to the improved/updated GUI as well - a bit slicker and easier on the eyes would be cool. Less would be more for me personally.

Thanks and cheers!

Tom

I always found knobs mouse drag sensitivity in V3 too high for me, even though I know you can use shift for finer movements.

Any chance to have a setting for knob mouse drag sensitivity?

The whole knob/slider code has been rewritten in 3.5 and I think you'll like it. Much smoother with two speeds that auto-adjust to the range. Mouse-wheel support is also much improved in that it works without prior main frame clicks and also features two speeds via SHIFT.

Thanks, looking forward to try it!
But please also consider an option to force mouse wheel to work only with prior frame click - I don't like having knobs move just because I'm moving the mouse wheel, it's too easy to do it by accident...

Jamstix rules ...

I think the Jamstix principle with player models etc. can be used for all intruments in the rhythm section, not only drums, but also bass and keyboard stuff. But, of course, it may take a lot work to develop it.

Thank you for keeping us informed Ralph, it's truly appreciated.

EDIT: I really like the look of the updated GUI also, great job.

Agreed. I have always thought the fixed width fonts detracted from the overall experience so the new screenshot immediately made me go "oooOOOoooh!"

(For what it's worth, I finally bought Studio yesterday. I can't wait to get the download link so that I can finally join the JS family!)

Ralph, are you able to elaborate at all on the expansion packs under development?

I can get you more details once we have the 64-bit version out.

Whenever you want OSX Beta Testers (VST and AU Reaper and Logic Pro) Just shout. I've missed Jamstix since I moved hardware platforms.

And here, as I've said before! Very Happy

Thanks for the update, Ralph - really helps to see the progress! Are you going to include/update Jamcussion as well?
