i am attempting to use JS with premade Midi files, can it be triggered with the midi drum tracks and if so how? I am using the deme right now and if this pans out i will purchase the program. I currently use sound fonts and want something tha can be setup to sound more real. what setting do I need, and what triggers the program to play with midi track?
Looking forward to your answers. Robo |

If you mean can you use Jamstix as a normal 'dumb' sample player: yes, set it to manual mode and check 'Play Input' and 'Mute Brain'. It will now play any MIDI input as drum commands in GM layout.
If you want to let Jamstix humanize and vary your drum patterns in the pre-existing tracks, you can either copy the patterns by hand or use the MIDI export in the rhythm tab or use the 'Learn' function in the same tab and play the basic pattern on a keyboard with your fingers, whichever works best for you.
Once Jamstix has copies of the patterns in its rhythm slots, it can easily vary them and humanize them and you can quickly assemble the sequence of patterns as needed in the arranger and add fills etc.
I'll be a here to help you find your way through the demo if need be. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Please download this file:
http://66.235.201.50/demos/jamstixX4-21demo.zip
and overwrite your existing jamstix.dll with the one in the zip, which is the latest Jamstix beta. This will add the 'Mute Brain' button to the 'Manual Jam' controls (sorry I didn't say that earlier, I forgot 1.2 didn't have it)
The 'Disabled' message indicates a renamed or corrupted DLL so using the beta DLL above should fix this as well. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
