Has anyone tried to recreate the sound of Phil Collins' kit? I'm listening to the album Duke (1980) and wouldn't mind emulating that massive sound.
Just wondering where to start |

| While I've never tried to re-create his sound, Abbey Road 80's Drums should get you most of the way there. It has the gate(s) built-in........ |

| Sorry, but I really can't help with that, I use JS to trigger the sounds from other drum samplers.....Maybe someone else will chime in with some help for you..... |

The trick will be to send the Kick, Snare and Toms out to your host on separate channels and then send those out to reverb channel(s) in your host with gates on them. Big, Fat reverb sounds, but gated out after a few hunderd milliseconds.
You might want to compress the drum sounds for punch, too, for that Phil Collins sound

Sorry, don't have BonzoPak or any of the other gizmos apart from Jamcussion -I use Jamstix to play SDX and EZX sounds.
I'm quite happy to "review" any of these if anyone wants to send me them
