Two PC systems and live play system often does not start playing songs when Reaper4 Run > command is pressed. Checking through JS3 usually shows selected Style and Drummer not what was chosen/loaded. Last night, one song ran repeatedly, but audio stopped after Intro, or in another case, after Verse 1. Chorus 1 would never play but Reaper continued in Run mode. Still new with both Reaper and JS3, but got to Verse 2 and Chorous 2 would not play either.

Anybody have this issue, or any suggestions to test for a specific problem?

Is there a 'foolproof' sequence to follow when first initiating JS3, in Reaper 4, to select the Song/Structure/Kit/Player to ensure all selections are retained and play in Reaper? It seems like Reaper sometimes retains settings and switches JS3 to a previous set of selections .... Confused

Not making sense to me __ for sure !

I'm continuing to have the problem on the other PC system as well. I load a Song, pick a Style,a Player, and when I restart Reaper to the beginning of the Song, JS3 switches settings back to the initial kit, Style Player from before. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks very much for helping Ralph! All is well after reviewing Parts and their attributes per your follow-up. Every new JS3 capability learned reinforces decision to go with JS versus popular alternatives with far less to offer!

I remain a bit fuzzy on how this works with Jamcussion selections (or non-selections) but will try variations to see what is stored in Parts.

OK. I need to do some follow-up review of Part settings in the scenario you describe. I'm wondering if in my initial posted situation, Jamcussion was set to Silent which resulted in the lack of sound for the specific Verse/Chorus repeatedly. Knowing how this works now, I could easily have gone to each Part and checked.

It surely must have been a combination of these choices, plus my ignorance, since the system continues to run normally for everything else.
