I have a midi file that I am playing with Jamstix3. Most of it is using brushes so I loaded the jazz Brush Kit. On the chorus I want the snare to be played with sticks. How can I do this? I was thinking I could import a snare/stick from another kit and give it a new key map and then edit my midi file in the chorus? Any ideas? I can't change the sound of the snare because then it will change for the whole song and only want it for the chorus.
How do I customize my kit to do this and or are there any kits out there that give a brush/stick option already?
Thanks, LOVE Jamstix btw |

I just answered my own question (at least one way to do it). I selected the Snare, then choose a different articulation (offset in this case). Clicked to load the sound and gave it a key....bingo.....
Still interested if there are any kits with this already built, but very cool how easy it is to do this. |

Your work-around is best. We don't have two snares at the moment in JS, which we are investigating for a future release. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks Ralph. With time constraints and other priorities I probably use such a small portion of Jamstix true potential. Just finding how easy it is to completely change and customize the sounds available to a kit reminds me to dig more often and deeper.
Simply fantastic software (and customer support)
