Also took the plunge into Windows 7 64bit today...so far, kind of good...

What i got is this...

I have Jamstix working on its own and SSD4 working on its own...but I cant load SSD4 into Jamstix....

When Jamstix asks for "Load Plugin", I browse to ssdsampler.dll and click ok, but nothing happens...Jamstix wont load the .dll???

Any thoughts??

Sorry, mate!
Jamstix 3.3 is 32-bit so it cannot load 64-bit plugins. We are working on a free native 64-bit upgrade to fix this. Until then, either use the 32-bit version of SSD or drive SSD via MIDI output from JS.

Thanks for the comms earlier!

Yes... SSD4 1.06 works in Jamstix 3.3.1.beta 2

Thank you!

BUT...for some reason the the loop button is not working (it highlights green, but nothing happens) and also when I hover over the instrument in the bar editor, there is no sound..

Please uncheck 'Close audio device when stopped and application is inactive' in the REAPER audio preferences.

Affirmative, sir. Sleep is for carbon-based lifeforms.

Smile

yes, loop working after unchecking...

...cpu hit is high w/ Jamstix 3.3 and SSD4 running together, also have ampitube etc but i think its jamstix bridged "hosting" SSD4 that's the culprit...

...cant wait for Jamstix 64bit ... till then will have to make do w/ less plugins...!!

Thanks Ralph!

Is the CPU hit still high with just JS3 sounds and no SSD4?

good question..

checked it out in Reaper 64, and yes with Jamstix running without SSD4 the CPU hit is about 80% and memory about 2.06Ggs

With SSD4 the CPU hit is about 80% and memory about 2.80Ggs

So it looks like Jamstix is the culprit on the CPU side...will the 64bit make a difference there, also, is there something i can do now? Smile

Haven't tried in Reaper 32bit yet...will do later.

I recommend you reduce the audio outputs to 8 or less in JS and see if that drops the CPU load with JS sounds. If so, drive SSD4 in the host with the MIDI output rather than subhosting. Let me know if you need help on doing that.
